On Waiting for Inspiration

"Inspiration usually comes during work, rather than before it." - Madeleine L'Engle

You can claim that you're waiting to be inspired, but waiting to get started has its costs. The costs get higher if what you're waiting for is perfection. Inspiration can sometimes be procrastination dressed in positive spin.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to post about today, so I decided to dig into my saved quotes. This helped me visualize a graphic, which helped me get on with the writing. The cost would have been me not showing up. The order it happens in, doesn't always matter. The results do.

Just get started and the inspiration will come.
