Social media leverages an artificial redistribution of attention that warps your idea of success according to Cal Newport, author of several books, including So Good They Can't Ignore You, Deep Work, and Digital Minimalism, amongst others.


Clicks, likes, views may result in attention, but don't necessarily result into value creation.


Unless attention is all you value.


But attention needs to be a means to an end, not the end itself.


It's what you do with the attention, once you have it, that determines any meaningful winning.
